Seven weeks in, how the dust has settled

This is an ugly post. I’m happily willing to share it as I am no stranger to chronicling difficult journeys via online blogging. However if I were to admit it to anyone that doesn’t know me well, like my date last night, people at LA’s run clubs, or anyone normal really, it would be incredibly embarassing!

I have lost $31823.75 since I entered the world of trading seven weeks ago.

To some, that sounds crazy. Maybe to most. However I take it in stride. I own my mistakes and there was a conscious decision made to accelerate my learning process by jumping in the deep end.

There is a long term objective here: to accomplish my financial goals from trading in the markets.

This goal has checkpoints:
1. Being a break even trader; reaching net $0.00 of trading P&L
2. Becoming a consistently profitable trader; having a profitable trading quarter
3. “Graduating” as a trader; netting my first $100k from the markets
4. Covering my living expenses and living comfortably; having a $250k year
5. Becoming a seven figure trader; having a $1mm+ year
6. And ultimately reaching financial independence through the markets; reaching a $10mm networth.

This blog is aptly named tentotenm because this is my core financial objective: to reach a 10 million dollar networth ten years from now.

I believe it is not only feasible, but with dutiful application of my intellect, strong discipline, and quality focus, I believe it will come to pass.

In the coming days and weeks I’ll share some of the common pitfalls I’ve encountered, my background, lessons I’ve learned, trading ideas I am integrating, and more.
For now, publishing this page signifies an initial declaration. More to come.
